Bengaluru Rural DC Peon Recruitment 2026: Overview
Principal District and Sessions Court, Bengaluru Rural District is recruiting Peons for its district court unit in Karnataka. This is a regular direct recruitment under the Karnataka Subordinate Courts rules, with the recruiting office based at the City Civil Courts Complex in Bengaluru. The notice includes probation, pension and reservation conditions that apply alongside the application requirements.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Probation period: If selected, you will serve a two-year probation under the Karnataka probation rules. The appointment follows the service conditions set out in those rules.
- Pension: Appointees will come under the National Pension System (NPS). The notice expressly identifies this pension arrangement for the recruitment.
- High Court proceedings: The notification and appointments are subject to final decisions in writ petitions 200448/2025 connected with 17968/2025, and 3145/2023 before the Karnataka High Court.
- SC Category C priority: The designated reservation gives priority to the specified most-backward castes in Category C. Other candidates within Category C may be considered if that group is unavailable, following the cited government order.
- Reservation claims: Put all your applicable claims in one application. If you apply more than once, only your last application will be considered, and the court will not accept requests to change that treatment.
- Changes after applying: The court will consider the particulars entered in your application. You cannot later ask to change the details on which your candidature is assessed.
- Keeping track: The court will place recruitment lists and schedules on its website. It may send SMS or email information, but it does not take responsibility for messages that do not reach you.
- Your expenses: You must pay your own travel and other attendance expenses for recruitment proceedings. Plan for those costs when you are called.
- Truthful information: False declarations, altered records and impersonation can lead to cancellation of candidature. The court may also take criminal or disciplinary action for improper conduct during recruitment.

- Prescribed rural reservation Form 2, countersigned by the Block Education Officer; General Merit rural applicants also need Form 1
- Disability medical certificate in the prescribed government format, where applicable
- Competent-authority certificate supporting any age-relaxation claim
- Military discharge/release certificate for an ex-servicemen claim
- Character certificates from two respectable persons obtained within the prescribed 6-month period, and from the last educational institution attended
- Serving candidates: competent-authority NOC obtained within 30 days of publication of the selection list, to be produced when directed
- Downloaded admission letter and one original photo ID: voter ID, Aadhaar, driving licence, PAN or passport
- Recent colour passport photograph with white background, unsigned, JPG up to 50 KB
- Signature in black ballpoint pen on white paper, JPG up to 25 KB
