AU Project Technical Support III Zoology Recruitment 2026: Overview
University of Allahabad (AU) is recruiting Project Technical Support-III for its Department of Zoology in Prayagraj. The contract belongs to an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) project studying potential clot-dissolving drug candidates from blowfly larvae and their relevance to thrombosis disorders. The work is supported through ICMR's Investigator-Initiated Research Proposals for Extramural Small Grants scheme.
The project is led by Dr. Ramaraj P. as Principal Investigator and Dr. Arindam Bandyopadhyay as Co-Principal Investigator. It brings together insect-based research and the study of possible drug candidates. Service Conditions and Caveats
- Initial appointment: You will first be appointed for one year within a project whose stated tenure is three years. Further continuation depends on your performance and the recommendation of the Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator.
- Project-linked end: The contract ends automatically when the research project ends, without a separate termination notice. The full project tenure is not an unconditional promise of employment for that entire period.
- No absorption: This appointment gives you no claim to a permanent position at the university or the funding agency. Consider it as a project contract when planning your next move.
- Applicable rules: The funding agency's project terms govern the appointment. Other conditions follow University of Allahabad and ICMR rules, and leave follows ICMR's project human-resource policy.
- Joining: The selected applicant must join immediately after receiving the offer. Check whether your existing commitments allow you to meet that condition.
- Travel: No TA/DA is payable for attending the interview. You will need to arrange and pay for your travel if called.

Three-year graduate degree in Zoology, Agricultural Entomology or allied subjects with three years of post-qualification work experience, OR MSc in Zoology, Agricultural Entomology or allied subjects.

Rs. 28,000 per month for the first two years, plus 20% HRA. A 5% increment on initial pay after completing two years is subject to satisfactory performance review, giving Rs. 29,400 base pay.
