APSP Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

4th India Reserve Battalion, Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP), Rajamahendravaram is hiring an outsourced support team under the state Police Department. The drive combines office, records, cleaning, sanitation, kitchen, laundry and barber services needed for a working battalion. This is a district-jurisdiction recruitment linked to erstwhile East Godavari, while several service roles move with battalion companies across Andhra Pradesh.

Posts and Disciplines

• Record Assistant: an office role covering records, data handling, correspondence, retrieval and administrative support.
• Office Subordinate: supports filing, scanning, scheduling, data entry, spreadsheets and basic bookkeeping.
• Sweepers: clean offices, corridors, fixtures and common areas while managing routine waste.
• Scavengers: handle toilets, drains, urinals, sanitary waste and premises hygiene.
• Cooks: prepare battalion meals, plan menus, manage rations and care for kitchen equipment.
• Dhobis: wash, dry, iron and arrange clothing while operating laundry equipment safely.
• Barbers: provide haircuts and shaving services, keep daily registers and maintain tools and the salon.

Post-wise Duties

Record Assistant

You will organise and retrieve physical and digital records, handle routine data and correspondence, and follow office security and compliance practices.

Office Subordinate

You will support filing, scanning, schedules and data entry, and help the office maintain spreadsheets, books and everyday administrative records.

Sweepers and Scavengers

You will keep assigned areas clean, sanitary and safe, segregate and dispose of waste correctly, and use cleaning materials and equipment with care. The work can move to different places when battalion companies relocate.

Cooks

You will prepare and serve routine and multi-cuisine meals, manage ingredients and rations, maintain food-safety standards and look after garrison or field-kitchen equipment.

Dhobis

You will wash, dry and iron battalion clothing, operate laundry equipment and keep garments properly arranged for issue.

Barbers

You will provide haircut, shaving and grooming services to police personnel, record the daily work and keep blades, scissors and other tools secure and hygienic.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Outsourced status: Appointment does not make you a member of government service or give you preference for another post. The engagement may be ended for administrative reasons.
• Mobility: Sweepers, scavengers, cooks, dhobis and barbers must move across the state with the battalion companies when directed.
• Headquarters duty: Staff must stay at the bona fide headquarters and remain available on call during emergencies.
• Local status: Study certificates from Class 4 to Class 10 decide local-candidate status for erstwhile East Godavari; others are treated as non-local.
• Dress and discipline: Follow the dress code and disciplinary control set by the Commandant and applicable outsourcing rules.
• Leave: Outsourced staff receive leave under the applicable government orders; qualifying married women employees can receive paid maternity leave for the first two deliveries.
• Conduct: Private practice is not allowed during employment, and candidates must meet the stated health, character, citizenship and service-conduct conditions.

Attach copies certified by a Gazetted Officer, including the required study records and Aadhaar. A working mobile number and email address are mandatory because the department will communicate the test and interview schedule through post, phone, SMS or email.

• Support battalion personnel at headquarters and during company movements
• Remain available for emergency duty when called at the bona fide headquarters
