Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), through its Regional Agricultural Research Station at Lam, Guntur, has opened 8 vacancies across 5 different drone roles for the Centre for A.P. Sensors and Smart Applications Research in Agriculture (APSARA). There is no written exam — selection is purely through an interview (offline, online, or hybrid) of shortlisted candidates. If you have hands-on experience with agricultural drones, DGCA RPC, or RPTO training, this is a strong fit. All posts are linked to the project and end on or before the 11th month from your joining date.

Who Can Apply?

Drone Engineer cum Trainer (Rs. 40,000)

• B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical, ECE, EEE, or Aerospace Engineering
• 1 year experience in agricultural drone training at agricultural universities, linked to RPTO training, plus field drone spraying on at least 200 acres with DGCA RPC
• Desirable: sensor integration, AI tools, 3D printing, wind tunnel / CFD analysis (ANSYS, Simulink), and video/photo editing

Drone Pilot cum Trainers (Rs. 25,000)

• Diploma in Agriculture / Agricultural Engineering, or any B.Tech
• Valid DGCA-authorised RPC with 6 months DGCA RPTO training experience (desirable), or ANGRAU-RPTO drone trainer experience of at least 11 months
• Desirable: ANGRAU-ADITI certification / APSARA internship and 4-wheeler driving experience

Drone Trainer (Rs. 25,000)

• B.Tech in ECE / Mechanical, or Diploma in Agriculture, with ADITI training at ANGRAU or any State Agricultural University

Programming Engineer cum RPTO Admin (Rs. 25,000)

• B.Tech (CSE) or any B.Tech with experience in the agricultural drone sector
• Skills in database management, analytics, computer and networking, plus AI/ML and Python programming; should also be willing to learn drone piloting

Drone Co-Pilot (Rs. 20,000)

• 10th pass with 2 years experience in the drone industry — charging and storage of drone batteries, log book assistance, and generator maintenance

Salary

• Drone Engineer cum Trainer: Rs. 40,000 per month
• Drone Pilot cum Trainers, Drone Trainer, Programming Engineer cum RPTO Admin: Rs. 25,000 per month
• Drone Co-Pilot: Rs. 20,000 per month
• All amounts are consolidated — no separate DA, HRA, or other allowances

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done in these steps:

1. Shortlisting: Applications are screened based on the scientific and technical requirements of the Centre for APSARA and RPTO needs.
2. Interview (Offline / Online / Hybrid): Shortlisted candidates get the interview link or venue details by email 12 hours before the interview. The decision of the interview committee is final.

If there are internet issues, the interview may be conducted over the phone, so keep your phone active.
