Post-wise Duties

Vocational Teachers

You will teach your vocational subject, guide practical activities and connect lessons with local industry visits. You also keep student profiles and identify materials for the vocational laboratory.

Part Time Pre-school Teacher

You will organise early learning and play, track children's progress and discuss their development with parents. The work also includes household surveys and foundational learning activities.

Part Time Instructor

You will teach artistic skills, prepare students for competitions and help organise school cultural activities.

Block and Cluster Resource Persons

You will support academic planning and school visits, collect school information and identify learning gaps. Cluster work also connects school development plans with block-level support.

Special Educators and Block Resource Person for Children with Special Needs

Your role centres on inclusive education and support for children with special needs at the school stage or block covered by your post.

Accountant

You will handle procurement and financial records, reconcile accounts and prepare payment and fund-release paperwork.

MIS Coordinator and Data Entry Operator

You will compile and update school, enrolment and infrastructure data. The information supports education reporting across schools, clusters and blocks.

IT Personnel

You will provide technical support, update project trackers and help prepare learning and communication materials.

Programmer

You will develop and maintain software applications, resolve defects and turn education data into useful reports and visual summaries.

Academic Resource Person

You will help students explore career and study pathways, choose subjects and understand further education, training and scholarship options.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The initial contract runs until 31 March 2027. Extension depends on performance, continuation of the post or scheme and the authority's approval.
• Employment terms: You must follow the prescribed contractual agreement. Selection creates no entitlement to a regular appointment.
• Vacancy changes: The requirement is tentative and may rise or fall with approval. The authority may also postpone or cancel recruitment.
• Application integrity: False information or concealed facts can lead to rejection or termination, including after an appointment offer.

Apply in person at the designated Block Project Office or Zonal Office; pre-school applications go to the concerned school. Offices cover South Andaman, Wimberlygunj, Little Andaman, Diglipur, Mayabunder, Rangat, Car Nicobar, Nancowrie and Campbell Bay, with a closing-day receipt cut-off of 4:30 PM.

Use a separate form for each post, trade or subject, but do not send duplicate forms for the same post to different centres. Get a dated, stamped acknowledgement; the instructions do not allow additional certificates after submission.

The department provides post-specific forms and instructions. Helper forms are available from South Andaman and Little Andaman blocks, while pre-school forms are also available from the concerned schools.
