AIIMS Delhi CDER Project Recruitment 2026 — 57 Posts

The Centre for Dental Education and Research (CDER), AIIMS New Delhi is hiring 57 project staff for field work under the National Oral Disease Burden Survey of the National Oral Health Program (MoHFW). The posts include Project Research Scientists, a Biostatistician, a Programmer, a Project Manager, Field Support Staff, a Data Entry Operator and Multi-Tasking Staff. This is a purely contractual role that needs extensive travel across all states of India — it is not a desk job at AIIMS Delhi. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, through its Centre for Dental Education and Research (CDER), has released a vacancy notice for 57 temporary posts to carry out the National Oral Disease Burden Survey (NODBS). These are house-to-house field survey jobs spread across every state in India. Whether you hold a dental, public health, social science, statistics or IT degree — or just a 10th/12th certificate — there is likely a post for you. The engagement runs up to 31 March 2027 and can be extended based on funding.

Who Can Apply?

Medical Posts (Dental)

• Project Research Scientist-II: You need an MDS in Public Health Dentistry. An MPH, a diploma in health research, or 2 years of field epidemiology work is preferred.
• Project Research Scientist-I: You need a BDS degree. MDS/MPH and 2 years of epidemiological data collection is an added advantage.

Non-Medical / Science Posts

• Social Scientist (PRS-III): A Master's (MA/MSc) in Population Studies, Social Work, Biostatistics or Development Studies with 5 years experience, or a PhD with 2 years experience.
• Biostatistician (PRS-I): A Master's in Statistics or Biostatistics. Hands-on Stata/R/SPSS and REDCap experience is preferred.
• Programmer (PRS-I): A 4-year degree in Engineering, IT or Computer Science.
• Project Manager / Coordinator (PRS-I): A Master's in Science, Public Health or Life Sciences with field management experience.

Support Posts

• Field Coordination Support Staff (PTS-III): A 3-year graduate degree (BSW/Science) with 3 years experience, or a relevant PG.
• Data Entry Operator: 12th pass with a typing speed of 15,000 key depressions per hour.
• Multi-Tasking Staff: 10th pass (High School).

These posts are only for field visits and house-to-house survey across India — not for work at CDER, AIIMS Delhi.

Age Limit

• The maximum age depends on the post: Social Scientist (PRS-III): 45 years, PRS-II: 40 years, and all PRS-I posts and PTS-III: 35 years.
• Data Entry Operator: 28 years and Multi-Tasking Staff: 25 years.
• Age is relaxable as per ICMR rules for reserved categories.

Salary

• Salary and allowances are paid as per AIIMS / ICMR / Government of India rules for each post. The notice does not print fixed figures.
• TA/DA for survey travel is given as reimbursement only — there is no advance payment for travel or stay.
• You must first pay your own travel and accommodation costs and claim them back later with bills.

Application Fee

• The notification does not mention any application fee.

Selection Process

There is no common written exam. Selection is done in these steps:

1. Merit List: Prepared from your percentage marks in the essential qualification, plus desirable qualifications and experience.
2. Shortlisting: Only 1:5 candidates per post are called for the in-person interview.
3. Typing Test: Held for the Data Entry Operator post as per rules.
4. Personal Interview: Conducted in person only. No TA/DA is paid for attending.
5. Document Verification: Self-attested copies of all certificates are checked by the committee.

The committee may also hold a written test, computer exercise or clinical test before the interview.

How to Apply

You must apply both online and by post — sending only one is not accepted.

1. Open the Google Form link (or scan the QR code) for your specific post from the official advertisement on aiims.edu.
2. Fill the form and upload scanned copies of your application and all documents.
3. Take a printout of the filled Google Form.
4. Attach self-attested copies of education and experience certificates, valid ID proof and a signed declaration.
5. Put everything in a sealed envelope labelled "Application for the post of [Post Name] under National Oral Disease Burden Survey".
6. Send it by post to: 6th Floor, Lab-2, NaRRIDS (NOHP/NODBS), CDER, AIIMS, New Delhi 110029.

• Travel to assigned states and districts across India for the oral health survey
• Conduct house-to-house field visits and collect survey data accurately
• Interview households and record oral health information as per the protocol
• Clean, process and analyse the collected data (for scientist and biostatistician posts)
• Submit daily and periodic field reports to the assigned team leader
• Coordinate field logistics and support the survey team on the ground
• Follow the duty schedule and move to the next state after finishing one
