Adilabad Anganwadi Teacher and Helper Recruitment 2026: Overview
The Women, Children, Disabled and Senior Citizens Department (WCD&SC), Adilabad District, under the Government of Telangana, is filling Anganwadi Teacher (AWT) and Anganwadi Helper (AWH) posts in three ICDS projects — Adilabad (Urban), Boath and Jainad. The District Collector approved the drive and the notification appeared in a Telugu daily on 19 October 2026. Most of the centres are in the scheduled (agency) areas, so a large share of the posts are earmarked for Scheduled Tribe women from the same habitation.
These are village- and ward-level posts: you can only apply for a centre in the ward or gram panchayat where you live. If you are an Intermediate-pass woman in Adilabad district, check the centre list for your own village first.

Service Conditions and Caveats
- Women only, and local: you must be a local woman — a resident of the same ward in urban areas, or of the gram panchayat where the Anganwadi centre is, in rural areas.
- Telangana candidates: only candidates belonging to Telangana State can apply.
- ST-earmarked centres: under the SC/ST Sub Plan, these posts go only to a Scheduled Tribe woman from the same hamlet or habitation.
- SC-earmarked centres: these posts go only to a Scheduled Caste woman from the same gram panchayat.
- Helper fallback: for Helper posts, if no Intermediate-pass candidate is available, a 10th-pass (SSC) candidate can be considered, as allowed by G.O.Ms.No.37 dated 29.12.2022.
- Persons with Disability: you need a SADARAM certificate; eligibility follows the disability percentage it shows and the rules in G.O.Ms.No.39 dated 06.09.2011.
- Age rule source: the age limit follows the Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 guidelines.

न्यूनतम योग्यता
Intermediate / 12th class pass for both Anganwadi Teacher and Anganwadi Helper. For Anganwadi Helper, a 10th class (SSC) pass candidate can be considered if no Intermediate-pass candidate is available (G.O.Ms.No.37, dated 29.12.2022).
