The Centre for Cancer Epidemiology (CCE) under Tata Memorial Centre, ACTREC is hiring 3 Counselors on a project basis. If you are a graduate in Psychology or Social Work and can speak Hindi, English and one local language (Marathi, Konkani or Gujarati), you can attend the walk-in interview. ACTREC Counselor Walk-in Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), part of Tata Memorial Centre, has invited candidates for 3 Counselor posts at its Centre for Cancer Epidemiology under advertisement number CCE/Advt/199/2026. This is a project-based job where you will attend telephone calls from tobacco users in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa and help them quit. This is a walk-in interview — no online application is needed. Both freshers and experienced candidates can attend.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You must be a graduate in Psychology, Social Work or an equivalent discipline from a recognised university.
• You must be fluent in Hindi and English, plus at least one local language — Marathi, Konkani or Gujarati — because the project handles calls from Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa.
• Basic computer knowledge is a must.

Preferred (Desirable)

• A Postgraduate degree in Psychology or a Master's in Social Work with specialization in medical and psychiatric Social Work.
• Candidates with prior experience in Tobacco Control will be given preference.

Salary

• Graduates: Rs. 30,000 per month
• Post Graduates: Rs. 35,000 per month
• This is a fixed monthly pay on a project/contract basis.

• Duration: Initially for 6 months, or till the project continues, whichever is earlier.

Selection Process

Selection is through a walk-in interview only. There is no written exam.

1. Walk-in Interview: Attend on 13 July 2026 with your documents. Your knowledge, language skills and suitability for the counseling role will be checked.
2. Document Verification: Carry all original certificates along with one set of photocopies.
