AAI Co Pilot Recruitment 2026: Overview

Airports Authority of India (AAI) is hiring a Co-Pilot P2 for Beechcraft B350/B360 aircraft in its Flight Inspection Unit at Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi. This is a fixed-term flying contract supporting the authority's flight-calibration work. The unit uses aircraft to test navigation and landing facilities, helping assess how those systems perform in flight.

The Flight Inspection Unit operates aircraft equipped with an automatic flight inspection system. Its work includes testing instrument landing systems, navigation aids and modern navigation procedures. Your base station is Delhi, with outstation arrangements linked to flight-calibration assignments.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract duration: The initial engagement lasts three years. AAI may extend it for another two years, one year at a time, if your performance is satisfactory and both sides agree.
• Initial training commitment: AAI arranges initial currency training against a three-year bond. The notice specifies reducing recovery at Rs. 1 lakh per month; read this financial commitment before accepting the contract.
• Non-rated pilots: AAI arranges approved type training and associated expenses against suitable bank security and a three-year service bond. Training and associated travel expenses are recovered at Rs. 1.5 lakhs per month after initial currency.
• Unsuccessful training: If you do not complete training successfully, repeat training is at your own expense within two months. Failure to complete it allows recovery of AAI's expenditure against your bank security.
• Recurrent training: Simulator training carries a separate commitment to serve AAI for at least one year after completion. The bank security and bond cover training, associated travel expenses and applicable taxes.
• Licence currency: The operations department coordinates renewal activities. You must remain available, and failure in the required tests affects your contracted payment proportionately until currency is restored.
• Accommodation: You arrange your own accommodation at the Delhi base. AAI provides outstation arrangements for calibration duties under the entitlements stated in the notice.
• Leave: The contract provides 12 days of casual leave and 18 days of sick leave per calendar year. Unused leave cannot be carried forward or exchanged for payment, and excess leave reduces monthly charges proportionately.
• Benefits: The contract does not provide gratuity, contributory provident fund or medical facilities for you or your dependants.
• Outside flying: You need the Executive Director's approval for flying outside AAI to maintain licence currency or build revalidation hours. The contract restricts outside employment.
• Ending the agreement: Either side can end the contract with six months' notice. AAI can also terminate it for continuous absence exceeding 15 days beyond your leave entitlement.
• Previous employment: Resolve outstanding commitments to your previous employer before signing with AAI. The notice places that responsibility on you.
• Interview arrangements: Invitations arrive by email. AAI does not reimburse travel or daily expenses for attending the interview.
