Spices Board Trainee Development Recruitment 2026: Overview

Spices Board, under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, is offering Trainee Development placements at its regional, divisional and field offices and departmental nurseries. The programme covers offices under the Gangtok, Sakleshpur and Guwahati regions, along with other named units. This is a training engagement, and the Board expressly rules out treating it as a route to regular appointment.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Training period: You train for two years from joining. Selection gives you a training placement only, with no right to regularisation at any stage.
• Office allocation: You may train at any Board office under the region or regional office concerned. Check both the office you are choosing and its mapped test centre because these may be in different places.
• Leave: The programme allows one day of leave per month. This is the specific leave provision stated for trainees in the advertisement.
• Travel for the test: The Board will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending. Plan your journey to the assigned centre on that basis.
• Rank-list use: The list may be used when a selected person does not join or when a trainee leaves through resignation or death during the first year after joining. It does not create a separate fresh intake.
• Rank-list validity: The list lasts up to one year from the results unless a fresh notice for the same training is issued. Replacements cannot take the intake beyond the notified requirement.
• Changes and conduct: Requirements are provisional, and the Board may change or cancel the process. Incorrect information, hidden facts or attempts to influence selection can lead to cancellation, including after selection.
• Communication: The Board uses the email address and mobile number in your application. Keep checking both and use its official opportunities page for updates.

Application Submission Notes

Online registration is compulsory before the walk-in test. Reporting at a centre without having applied online, or arriving late, will prevent you from taking part.

Annexure I maps each office to its test venue. Centres include Guntur, Nizamabad, Navi Mumbai, Patna, Aizawl, Senapati, Kohima, Itanagar, Koraput, Jagdalpur, Sakleshpur and Gangtok. The Dimapur opening uses the Kohima centre, while Ziro and Roing use Itanagar.

Plan to report at 10:00 AM for verification, as the annexure proposes an 11:00 AM test. Follow any later timing update from the Board; the general instructions also call for arrival at least 30 minutes before the scheduled test.
