RSJA Research Scholar Recruitment 2026: Overview

Rajasthan State Judicial Academy (RSJA) is engaging a Research Scholar at Jodhpur under its scheme for contractual research support. The role sits within the academy and works under the Director or other academy officers. Your engagement follows the scheme amended up to November 2024, which sets out the working arrangements and restrictions that apply throughout the contract.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract tenure: The initial appointment lasts two years. The academy may extend it by one further year if it finds your performance satisfactory.
• Appointment status: This temporary contractual engagement does not give you a claim to a regular appointment. You must provide the prescribed undertaking before taking up the role.
• Exclusive engagement: You cannot take another full-time or part-time engagement during this appointment, whether paid or unpaid. You also cannot practise in a court during the term.
• Bar Council enrolment: If already enrolled, you must arrange suspension through your Bar Council for the entire period of the engagement.
• Working hours: Your daily hours follow the academy calendar. During seminars, workshops and conferences, the Director sets the hours you must work.
• Leave: You earn one casual leave day after completing each calendar month. Unused casual leave accumulates within that calendar year, and the scheme does not provide other forms of leave.
• Attendance: Get approval before taking leave or leaving headquarters. In an emergency, inform an academy officer immediately if you cannot attend work.
• Leaving early: Give three months of advance notice, or notice covering the remaining contract period if that is shorter. The academy may end the engagement without notice on the Director's written recommendation to the Chairman.
• Confidentiality: Keep information learned through your official work confidential during and after the engagement, except where disclosure is legally required for lawful duties.
• Completion certificate: The Director issues a certificate after successful completion of the term. You do not receive it if you leave early or the academy ends the engagement prematurely.
