NIT Raipur Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Institute of Technology Raipur (NIT Raipur) is recruiting a Junior Research Fellow in its Department of Biomedical Engineering in Chhattisgarh. The fellowship supports a Department of Science and Technology (DST) project under the SATYAM scheme. The study examines electroencephalography (EEG) and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) signatures associated with different types of meditation, using artificial intelligence to evaluate and validate them.

This is a project-based contractual fellowship supervised by Principal Investigator Dr. Bikesh Kumar Singh, Associate Professor in the department. The notice allows both in-person and online interviews, so you can state which format you prefer when you email your application.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project tenure: The project runs only up to 11 January 2027. Your appointment ends with the project.
• Continuation: The fellowship depends on satisfactory performance, review and the availability of project funds. The notice describes the position as purely temporary.
• Performance condition: If your performance is unsatisfactory, the institute may end the engagement after giving 2 weeks’ notice.
• Governing terms: The appointment follows the conditions of DST, New Delhi, along with NIT Raipur’s rules and norms.
• Interview expenses: The institute will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending the interview. An online interview is permitted for applicants who have applied online.
