CMD Kerala Project Manager Recruitment 2026: Overview

Centre for Management Development (CMD), an autonomous institution of the Government of Kerala, is hiring Project Managers on behalf of the Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB). TDB runs more than 1,250 temples and religious institutions across southern Kerala, and on the directions of the High Court of Kerala it is moving its administration, finance and operations onto one enterprise-wide digital system.

This is a contract job inside that digital transformation programme. Kerala State IT Infrastructure Limited (KITFRA) is the technical consultant, and you will work at the PMU in Thiruvananthapuram, leading the teams that build the board's ERP modules. The role suits a senior IT delivery lead who has already managed large software teams end to end.

The ERP is split into five functional clusters — Governance, Finance, Revenue and Temple, Operations, and Administration and Legal — and the programme's Special Officer allots modules to each Project Manager. Expect field visits to temples and TDB offices, a priority pilot timed for the Sabarimala season, and progress reports that feed the status reports placed before the High Court.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Religion: Only candidates who profess the Hindu religion can apply.
• Contract term: Two years or until the programme ends, whichever comes first. It can be extended for one more term based on your performance and the programme's needs.
• Second-year increment: Your pay goes up in the second year if your performance is rated satisfactory.
• Final approval: The appointment depends on the approval of the Travancore Devaswom Board.
• No relaxation: The notice allows no age relaxation for any category.
• Equivalent degrees: If your degree is only equivalent to the listed ones, you must upload an equivalency certificate from the competent authority, or the application will not be considered.
• Right to change: CMD and the PMU can modify or cancel the notification, change the number of posts, or stop the process without giving reasons.

Experience proof must be a proper experience certificate showing joining and relieving dates, duties, and the signature and seal of an authorised person. Appointment letters, salary certificates and pay slips do not count. For your current job only, you may upload an affidavit giving the employer, designation, period and duties.

Corrigenda and Notices

• Addendum-1 dated 19 October 2026 (No. CMD/TDB/03/2026/Addendum-1): the last date for submitting the online application is extended from 21 October 2026 to 24 October 2026, and the upper age limit is now reckoned as on the last date of submission of applications instead of 1 October 2026.
• Qualification amended: MCA, M.Tech or an equivalent recognised postgraduate qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a closely related discipline replaces the earlier B.E./B.Tech, MCA or M.Sc. clause; recognised project management or Agile certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are desirable.
• Experience amended: a minimum of 15 years of relevant IT-industry experience including substantial project or programme management, proven delivery of enterprise software platforms and cloud-native solutions, leadership of multidisciplinary delivery teams of 20 or more members and Agile delivery experience replaces the earlier 12-year / 25-member clause. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.

• Plan, schedule and track delivery of the ERP modules allotted across the programme's five functional clusters
• Lead the development squads and team leads through sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives
• Coordinate requirement documents (AS-IS, BRS, SRS, FRS) with KITFRA, the Chief Software Architect and TDB domain experts
• Visit temples and TDB offices for requirement validation, user acceptance testing, rollout and training
• Keep project plans, risk and issue registers, change-control records and decision logs up to date
• Prepare progress reports for the Special Officer, the Technical Committee, the Board and High Court status reports
• Manage data migration, go-live and stabilisation, including the Sabarimala season pilot
• Check that every build follows the approved architecture, security standards and MeitY/CERT-In guidelines
