AIIMS Raipur State Newborn Care Quality Manager Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences Raipur (AIIMS Raipur) is hiring a State Newborn Care Quality Manager for the UNICEF-funded Improving Maternal and Newborn Health Care project. Based in the Department of Pediatrics, this contract role supports a quality improvement (QI) programme linking newborn-care services, project data and district teams.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Reporting arrangements: You will work under the project's Principal Investigator at AIIMS Raipur. Technical reporting goes to the Health Specialist at UNICEF Raipur, connecting the institute's project work with UNICEF's programme support.
• Field travel: The assignment can include local and outstation travel when the supervisor needs it. Although your duty station is AIIMS Raipur, the notice also provides for work beyond the campus.
• Conflicting initial terms: The headline, duration entry and application form describe a two-month contract. The terms of reference place this in November to December 2026, but the general conditions instead refer to five months. Ask the project team to confirm the initial term before joining.
• Extension: The notice discusses continuation for a further year or more in some places, and a maximum of twelve additional months elsewhere. Performance, project needs, approval and available funding affect continuation, so treat any extension as conditional.
• Employment status: This project engagement does not place you on the regular AIIMS Raipur payroll. It ends with the applicable contract period and gives you no right to claim a permanent appointment at the institute.
• Interview travel: The project will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending. You will need to make your own travel arrangements.
