KAU Security Guard Recruitment 2026

KAU Security Guard Recruitment 2026: Overview

Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) is engaging Security Guards for the Coconut Research Station at Balaramapuram. This is a daily-wage arrangement for former military or paramilitary personnel who can support the station's round-the-clock security work. The role is tied to the research station, so it suits people living close enough to report reliably for changing day and night duties.

The station carries out coconut research and farm activity at Kattachalkuzhi, and the guard's work extends beyond a gate-post assignment. You will help protect the farm, research facilities, staff areas and university property while following directions from the station head or the scientist managing the farm. The engagement does not create a claim to a regular university appointment or its service benefits.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Service background: The opening is meant for people retired from military or paramilitary service, with preference for those who already have security-work experience.
• Shift readiness: You must be comfortable working rotating day and night duty and maintaining an alert, uninterrupted presence throughout the assigned shift.
• Local availability: The notice limits consideration to permanent residents living near the station, making quick and dependable attendance an important condition.
• Conduct: You must have no criminal background or case pending against you in a court or police station. Any criminal case arising during service must be reported promptly in writing.
• Uniform: You will arrange the prescribed uniform, shoes and belt at your own cost and tell the station which uniform you will wear.
• Accountability: A guard may be held responsible for loss caused to the university through negligence or failure in duty, and the institution may recover that loss.
• Statutory deductions: The university will deduct professional tax and any other legally applicable deductions from the daily-wage payment.
• Continuation: The station head may end the engagement without advance notice if the guard's service is found unsatisfactory. The university accepts no wider liability beyond control of the assigned working hours.
