KAU Guest Faculty Forestry Recruitment 2026

KAU Guest Faculty Forestry Recruitment 2026: Overview

Kerala Agricultural University (KAU) has issued a fresh notice for Guest Faculty in Forestry at its Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS), Kumarakom, in Kottayam. The appointment supports teaching through a provisional, session-paid engagement. The notice accepts the specified Forestry or Agronomy academic background for this Forestry teaching role.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Semester-based engagement: The appointment lasts for the semester or until regular staff are appointed, whichever happens first. You should plan for an engagement that can end before the semester finishes if the university fills the role through a regular appointment.
• Provisional status: Taking up this work does not give you a right to a permanent university post or later regularisation. The notice limits your claim to the payment attached to the teaching engagement.
• Session-based arrangement: The notice distinguishes practical teaching from theory teaching when setting payment. It does not specify a fixed monthly workload or guarantee a particular number of sessions.
• Travel costs: KAU will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview. This also applies when you travel to handle teaching sessions, so consider those costs when deciding whether the engagement suits you.
• Continuation: The appointing authority can end the engagement if your performance is unsatisfactory or defects are found. The provisional appointment therefore remains subject to the university's assessment during the engagement.

Application Submission Notes

The walk-in venue is RARS, Kumarakom, Kottayam 686563. Report to the college office at 10:00 AM as directed in the notice; the university uses an in-person walk-in route for this engagement.

Corrigenda and Notices

• Re-notification: KAU labels this advertisement a re-notification for Guest Faculty in Forestry. It restates the teaching engagement and walk-in arrangements without explaining the reason for issuing the notice again.
