IIT Kharagpur Project Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview
Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) has a Project Assistant (PA) opening in its Department of Bioscience and Biotechnology. This is a time-bound appointment under a project studying microbial solutions for sustainable and regenerative agriculture, particularly nitrogen and phosphorous flux. Prof. Pinaki Sar leads the project at Kharagpur.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Project link: Your engagement would be attached to the named research project. The notice presents this as a temporary research assignment within the institute's sponsored research programme.
- Tenure: The stated term is 12 months or until the project ends, whichever is earlier. Keep that limit in mind when considering the appointment, since its duration depends on the project continuing.
- Sponsoring organisation: Cropcoin Technologies Private Limited funds the project. Its address is in Bihar Sharif, Nalanda, Bihar, while the department handling this assignment is at IIT Kharagpur.
- Project identity: The project code is C/SNPF. Its focus on microbial approaches to sustainable and regenerative agriculture gives you the context for this particular Project Assistant opening.
- Source inconsistency: The position heading says Project Assistant, but the essential-qualification paragraph refers to Research Associate. Seek clarification from IIT Kharagpur before relying on that paragraph. The qualification field preserves what the notice actually states.
- Correct reference: This opening is advertisement IIT/SRIC/C/SNPF/2026/101. Check this reference when discussing the mismatch with the institute so that your query points to the right assignment.
