IIIT Delhi Project Associate Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT Delhi) is recruiting a Project Associate for research combining Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), quantum computing and hybrid LiFi–WiFi communication. This project appointment brings intelligent network management and optical wireless research together, with an emphasis on adapting communication networks to changing conditions.

The project's central question is how a hybrid LiFi–WiFi network can choose and manage its links as users move, channels change, signals become blocked and traffic varies. Its research combines GenAI-based network intelligence with quantum and quantum-inspired optimization, covering user association, resource allocation and energy-aware operation.

You will join an interdisciplinary research project connecting optical wireless communication, conventional wireless networks, AI and quantum computing. The notice also identifies low-latency communication, mobility-aware operation, security and reliability as research themes, alongside simulation and performance evaluation of next-generation networks.

The research scope therefore goes beyond a single communication link: it considers how hybrid networks respond to changing operating conditions. Generative AI and quantum-inspired methods are part of this shared communication-network problem, rather than separate appointments under the notice.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The appointment runs for 1 year. You join for the project's research work under a fixed-term arrangement.
• Possible extension: Continuation depends on satisfactory performance and available project funds. The notice does not promise an extension simply because the initial term ends.
