Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU) is engaging Guest Faculty at its Amarkantak campus for the 2026-27 academic session. This is a purely temporary teaching arrangement across science, humanities, social science, media and professional departments. The university may change or leave positions unfilled depending on its academic need, so an advertised department does not create a claim to appointment.

Posts and Disciplines

• Computer Science: classroom and practical teaching for computing programmes, with support for lab-based learning.
• Tourism Management: teaching linked to tourism operations, destination studies and management practice.
• Journalism and Mass Communication: instruction in reporting, media production and communication concepts.
• Biotechnology and Botany: science teaching that may combine lectures, practical sessions and laboratory guidance.

Post-wise Duties

Science and Computer Departments

You will plan lectures and practical sessions, explain core concepts, guide students during laboratory work and evaluate class assignments. You may also help the department keep course delivery aligned with its academic timetable.

Humanities and Language Departments

You will teach the assigned papers, lead reading and discussion sessions, assess written work and support students who need help with subject fundamentals. Language faculty may handle communication or literature components according to the department's syllabus.

Professional and Applied Departments

You will connect classroom concepts with practical examples and field practice in tourism, journalism, social work or museology. The department may ask you to guide project work, presentations or practice-based assignments.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nature of engagement: The appointment is purely temporary for the academic session and gives no right to regular employment.
• Joining: A selected person must join within the period stated in the offer letter.
• Outside work: The appointee must devote full working time to the university and cannot take another paid job, trade or business during the engagement.
• Attendance: Absence can lead to a proportionate reduction in payment.
• Continuation: The university may end the engagement without prior notice and may revise, reschedule, suspend or cancel the recruitment process.
• Travel: The university will not pay TA or DA for attending the walk-in interview.
• Waiting panel: IGNTU may keep a merit-based waiting list and use it when a higher-ranked person does not join or leaves soon after joining.
• Document checks: Information may be checked during appointment or service, and false or suppressed details can lead to termination.
