CSB MESSO Sericulture Assistant Recruitment 2026

CSB MESSO Sericulture Assistant Recruitment 2026: Overview

Muga Eri Silkworm Seed Organization (MESSO), Central Silk Board (CSB), Guwahati, is recruiting Sericulture Assistants for its institutes and units. The organisation works under the Ministry of Textiles, and this engagement supports its ongoing operational needs. You will join on a contractual basis, with postings spread across several states.

The notice places this recruitment within CSB's wider work in the silk sector, which includes research, seed production, training, quality certification and technical support. The organisation works through research institutes, regional offices, seed organisations and field units. These appointments support that network rather than a separately named research project.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The initial engagement is for up to one year. It does not give you a right to regularisation, absorption, continued service or another appointment in CSB.
• Posting preferences: You may choose three preferred locations. CSB makes the final decision using merit, available positions and administrative needs, so your preferred station is not guaranteed.
• Assam stations: The notice includes Guwahati, Pailapool in Silchar, Topatoli and Kaliabari in Kamrup, Narayanpur in Lakhimpur, and Hahim in Kamrup.
• Other stations: The listed units also include Nongpoh, Tura, Rampora and Mendipathar in Meghalaya, Kobulong in Nagaland, Aizawl in Mizoram, and Hosur in Tamil Nadu. Check these locations when choosing your preferences.
• Work arrangement: You will support Senior Technical Assistants or technical staff at the assigned institute or unit. The notice expressly says that the engagement is not linked to a specific project.
• Email communication: CSB will send interview arrangements and further correspondence by email. Use a working address that you check regularly, because the Board will not take responsibility for late or undelivered messages.
• Travel costs: You must meet your own interview expenses. CSB will not provide travel or daily allowance, lodging or boarding for attending.
• Application accuracy: Incomplete forms may be rejected, and requests to add information after submission will not be accepted. False or incomplete information can lead to cancellation even after you join.
• Changes to the drive: CSB may change the staffing requirement, modify the engagement or cancel it in full or for particular posts. Corrections will appear on the official CSB or MESSO website.
• Other conditions: Canvassing leads to disqualification. Disputes connected with this advertisement fall under the jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru.
