Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), part of Tata Memorial Centre, is hiring Medical Officers for its Department of Medical Oncology in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. ACTREC is a grant-in-aid institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. This is an ad-hoc engagement within the centre's cancer-care services, with both walk-in and online interview options.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: Your appointment starts with a one-year term. An extension depends on the centre's requirements; the notice does not promise an automatic continuation.

• Record each patient's initial medical history and obtain consent for tests.
• Enter treatment protocols in the Medical Oncology Information System (MOIS).
• Counsel patients about adverse events and check co-existing illnesses and drug interactions.
• Prepare online prescriptions after consultant approval and check pharmacy medicines for correct type and quantity.
• Review follow-up appointments, investigations and adherence to treatment.
• Assess chemotherapy toxicity during follow-up.
• Work under supervision in day care and oncology wards, including day and night shifts.
• Handle basic medical emergencies and report to the responsible resident or consultant.
