Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract status: The initial engagement is for one year. Taking this consultancy does not give you a right to a regular appointment at VMH.
• Conditions of engagement: The arrangement depends on the institution’s functional needs, your performance appraisal and medical fitness, under the Ministry of Culture’s terms for retired employees.
• Office attendance: You must follow normal office hours and record your attendance. Urgent work may also mean attending on Saturdays, Sundays or other holidays; failure to mark attendance can affect your pay.
• Paid leave: You earn 1.5 days of paid leave for each completed month of service. Unused leave cannot accumulate beyond the calendar year.

• Institution’s decision: The competent authority may cancel the advertisement, stop the engagement process or accept or reject applications without giving reasons.
• Declaration: The form asks you to confirm that no disciplinary or vigilance proceeding is pending against you. Incorrect information can lead to cancellation of your candidature.
• Other conditions: Government of India guidelines govern the remaining terms of the engagement.
