Service Conditions and Caveats

• Department preferences: If you apply for Clerk (Legal) or Clerk (I.T.), the board will collect your department preferences later. The common advertisement therefore does not mean that your preferred department is already allotted when you apply.
• Reservation: Punjab residents can claim the reservation benefits set out in the notice. Choose your category carefully because the category and category code recorded in your form cannot be changed later.
• Women’s reservation: The department-wise table identifies women’s reserved places within each category total. These are included in the advertised strength, rather than additional appointments outside it.
• Ex-servicemen priority: The reserved places go first to ex-servicemen themselves. Dependants, and then qualifying grandchildren of gallantry award winners, are considered only under the conditions given in the applicable rules.
• Changing departmental requirements: Departments may revise their requisitions while recruitment is underway. The number of appointments recommended by the board will follow the departmental position at that stage.

• Travel costs: You must meet your own travel costs for the test and counselling; the board will not pay TA/DA.
