National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut) is hiring one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a research project in its Department of Bioscience and Engineering. The hiring is handled by the institute's Office of Research and Consultancy, and the post is a contract engagement tied to the project, not a regular institute job.

The project is funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) and studies the influence of imbibition and drainage on plastic biodegradation in porous media — in simple words, how water moving in and out of soil-like materials changes the way plastic breaks down.
