National Institute of Technology Agartala (NIT Agartala) is recruiting a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Project Associate-I for its Department of Chemistry in Jirania, Tripura. Dr. Arindam Modak leads the project, which is funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF). The research explores electrochemical upcycling of plastic waste using recycled battery material as an anode.

The project connects plastic-waste treatment and reuse of battery material through chemistry research. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project tenure: You start with a one-year engagement, which may be extended up to three years. The appointment ends with the project.
• Temporary appointment: The institute can end the engagement without giving a reason. Its administrative terms apply throughout your time on the project.
• Doctoral study: The selected researcher may register for a PhD in the Department of Chemistry. This option remains subject to the institute's PhD Rules 2018, so the project appointment does not itself grant doctoral admission.
• Travel expenses: The institute will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview or joining after selection.
• Communication: Shortlisted applicants receive interview information through the email address in their application. The engagement letter also goes by email after selection.
• Accuracy and cancellation: You are responsible for the information and materials you send. NIT Agartala may cancel the recruitment without giving a reason.
