MbPA Financial Analyst Recruitment 2026: Overview

Mumbai Port Authority (MbPA) is hiring Financial Analysts for its Finance Department in Mumbai. The post is meant for qualified Chartered Accountants (CA) and Cost & Management Accountants (CMA), so it suits young professionals who want hands-on finance work inside a large public port. This is a purely contractual engagement, not a regular port job — the exact duties are handed out by the Finance Department once you join.

On top of the fixed monthly pay, the port adds a transport allowance, and the contract starts at one year with the option to extend. Selection is by an interview before a three-member panel — two officers from Finance and one from the General Administration Department (GAD).

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: One year, reviewed on performance every year, and extendable one year at a time at the port's discretion.
• No absorption: You get no claim to a regular post or to parity with regular port employees doing similar work.
• Notice period: Either side can end the contract with one month's written notice. Leaving without notice means losing pay for the notice period.
• Working hours: 10 AM to 6 PM, five days a week; you may have to stay late or work on an off day when work demands, with a compensatory day off instead of extra pay.
• Leave: Only 12 days of casual leave a year plus public holidays; any other absence is deducted from pay.
• Medical cover: Only emergency treatment at the MbPA Hospital or dispensary for on-duty accidents — no other medical benefit for you or your family.
• Housing: MbPA quarters may be given if available; rent, electricity and water are charged as per rules.
• Medical fitness and police check: Your engagement depends on being found medically fit and on a clean police antecedent verification.
