Post-wise Duties

You will work on the services and routes assigned by the company. The service conditions call for pre-departure bus checks, safe operation and attention to vehicle cleanliness, including making sure the bus is ready before departure.

Conductor and Shared Crew Work

The attached conditions emphasise courteous passenger support, careful handling of luggage and help for passengers who need assistance. Crew members must also keep destination information visible, support boarding at the prescribed stops and keep the passenger feedback book available.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Temporary engagement: Service through this recruitment does not give you a right to permanent appointment in KSRTC-SWIFT, KSRTC or another government-controlled organization.
• Rank-list validity: The list remains valid for one year from its commencement. Being listed does not guarantee work; engagement follows vacancies, ranking and the company's rotation rules.
• Service commitment: After successful training, you must serve for two years with at least 240 duties in each year. The notice links failure to meet this commitment to forfeiture of the security deposit.
• Security deposit: You must provide an interest-free deposit of Rs. 30,000 by demand draft in favour of the Chairman and Managing Director, KSRTC-SWIFT. Refund is subject to the notice's service and adjustment conditions.
• Duty allocation: The company decides your routes, duty hours and assignments. You must follow its approved roster and the service rules that management may revise.
• Conduct and attendance: Persistent absence, misconduct or breach of the agreement can lead to removal without notice. The conditions also allow recovery of losses caused by unjustified absence resulting in cancelled or delayed services.
• Existing KSRTC staff: Employees with at least five years of KSRTC experience receive preference. Those working through a working arrangement or deputation enter a separate agreement with SWIFT.
• Previous SWIFT service: The notice excludes people removed after appointment in SWIFT and those who left in breach of its agreement. Check this condition if you have worked with the company before.

• Check the bus before departure and bring it to the assigned bus bay on time.
• Keep the bus interior, seats and windows clean before and between trips.
• Display destination information clearly for passengers.
• Assist passengers courteously and handle their luggage carefully.
• Help older passengers, pregnant passengers and passengers with disabilities board and leave safely.
• Follow assigned routes, approved duty rosters and uniform rules.
• Keep the passenger feedback book available and support passengers needing medical assistance during travel.
