Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority Special Economic Zone (JNPA SEZ) is hiring for infrastructure management and fire services at its port-based zone in Navi Mumbai. Post-wise Duties

Manager Project

You will help turn infrastructure proposals into project plans, budgets and work schedules, then track construction progress and quality. The work brings you into regular contact with contractors, consultants, port authorities, industrial units and utility providers.

You will also handle tenders, contract administration and project records. Procurement through the government bidding portals, stock control and records in the SAP system form part of the assignment, alongside technical approvals and environmental compliance.

Fire Superintendent

You will organise the SEZ fire station, support the setting up of new stations and plan the staff and equipment they need. You will also develop fire-safety policies, oversee inspections and help businesses understand prevention measures.

Your work includes fire drills, staff training, incident reports and fire audits. You will handle firefighting equipment tenders, support online approvals and report on the station's functioning to the Chief Executive Officer.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The contract runs for two years. An extension depends on JNPA SEZ's decision; you cannot claim regularisation or permanent status.
• Other work: You cannot take another assignment during this engagement or advise others on matters that conflict with the SEZ's interests.
• Confidentiality: Official information must remain confidential. You must return assignment records and materials before leaving and before final payment.
• Ending the contract: Either side can give one month's written notice. Leaving without the required notice can result in loss of pay for that notice period; misconduct can lead to immediate termination.
• Working arrangements: Normal duty is from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., subject to administrative changes. Extra hours carry no additional compensation; urgent work on a weekly rest day or national holiday can be compensated with another rest day.
• Leave: The annual entitlement includes 10 medical leave days and 20 casual leave days. Unused leave cannot be carried forward or encashed.
• Travel and disputes: The port will not reimburse travel for recruitment assessments. Recruitment-related legal disputes fall under Mumbai jurisdiction.
• Updates: Check the port's recruitment notices for changes; the authority does not promise individual communication about every change.
