JIPMER Project Nurse II Recruitment 2026: Overview

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) is recruiting a Project Nurse II for the AI-CAN study in its Medical Oncology department at Puducherry. Funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the study aims to build an artificial-intelligence model and database using clinical and genomic information to improve survival outcomes in children with acute myeloid leukemia. You would join an externally funded research project led by Dr Swaminathan K, rather than a regular nursing appointment at the institute.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial appointment: The first contract is for six months. Further extension depends on your performance, so the overall project duration does not guarantee an appointment for that entire period.
• Project duration: The study is planned for three years. The position depends on external funding and continues only within the project’s duration.
• Changes to engagement: The Principal Investigator can extend or shorten the engagement. The contract does not create a claim to a regular JIPMER post.
• Interview attendance: Interviews will take place in person. The institute says it will communicate the interview date and time one week in advance.
• Recruitment communication: Shortlisted applicants will receive an email with test and interview information. The institute will also display the list on its website, so keep track of both channels.
