ICAR DOGR Senior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026: Overview

ICAR-Directorate of Onion and Garlic Research (ICAR-DOGR) is hiring a Senior Research Fellow for its DUS testing of Onion and Garlic project in Pune, Maharashtra. The project receives funding from PPV & FRA and runs under principal investigator Dr. A.J. Gupta. This is a project-linked contractual engagement, with work based at Rajgurunagar or project sites as needed.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract period: The engagement runs up to 31 March 2027, with a possible extension for one more year depending on the project's needs and your performance.
• Project link: Your appointment depends on satisfactory performance and ends with the project if that happens earlier. The post does not give you a claim to a regular appointment or absorption at ICAR-DOGR.
• Work locations: You may be stationed at Rajgurunagar or sent to project sites. The notice describes extensive fieldwork, frequent travel, laboratory work and site surveys for collecting samples.
• Interview expenses: You must arrange your own travel and stay. The institute will not pay travel or daily allowances or provide official accommodation for the interview.
• Disclosure: You must declare whether you are related to an institute or ICAR employee, naming the person and explaining the relationship where applicable.
• Accuracy: Hiding facts or trying to influence the recruitment can lead to cancellation of your application or termination after appointment.
• Institute's decision: The Director can cancel or postpone the interview and can end the contract before the project finishes. The Director's decisions are final; disputes fall within Pune court jurisdiction.
