EFLU Tutor Recruitment 2026: Overview

The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad is hiring Tutors in German and Japanese for its Centre for Consultancy and Language Training (CCLT). These are temporary teaching posts for short, skill-based language courses aimed at medical professionals, with the Japanese courses built around caregiving and healthcare workplace language.

The engagement is a fixed two-year assignment, and the pay within the notified band depends on how well you perform. Posts and Disciplines

• Tutor in German (Department of Germanic Studies): for holders of an MA in German, or a three- or four-year BA (Hons.) in German with high marks. Prior German teaching, a Goethe-Institut or TELC certificate at B2 or above, and experience teaching German to medical professionals give you an edge.
• Tutor in Japanese (Department of Asian Languages): for graduates in any subject with high aggregate marks who also hold a JLPT certificate at N3 level or above. A Japanese degree is preferred, and the university wants tutors who can teach caregiving and healthcare vocabulary, workplace expressions and professional communication.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The posts run for two years, from October 2026 to September 2028. They are temporary and not regular university faculty posts.
• Performance-linked pay: Your actual salary within the notified range is decided on your performance, not fixed in advance.
• Japanese tutor expectations: The university looks for enough English proficiency to follow institutional instructions and learning materials, plus the ability to explain Japanese terms used in caregiving and professional workplaces.
• Incomplete or late applications: These will not be considered.
• University discretion: EFLU can fill, not fill or cancel the posts for any reason.
