DLSA Jalore Para Legal Volunteer Recruitment 2026: Overview

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jalore is preparing a fresh panel of Para Legal Volunteers, known as Adhikar Mitra, for the district authority and its taluka legal services committees. Selected people will work from one of five centres — Jalore, Ahore, Bhinmal, Raniwara and Sanchore — and are trained before they start. The drive follows directions issued by the Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority (RALSA), Jaipur. This is a community volunteer role with a fixed honorarium, not a government job, so it suits people who want to help their neighbours understand and use the law.

The notice welcomes people who are already active in their area: sociology and social work students, anganwadi workers, Nehru Yuva Kendra volunteers, law students not yet enrolled as advocates, and members of NGOs, women's groups, clubs and self-help groups. Even educated long-term prisoners with good conduct can be considered, along with anyone the DLSA or taluka committee finds capable.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Not a government post: The PLV selection is purely temporary, can end at any time without notice or benefits, and gives no right to a regular appointment. It is not treated as contractual service with DLSA Jalore.
• Honorarium only: Volunteers get the fixed honorarium set from time to time under NALSA and RALSA directions — no salary, wage, incentive or package on top of it.
• Service spirit counts: The authority will give priority to people who do not see this as a source of income and who care about poor and exploited families.
• Local residence: You must be a local resident of a village inside the jurisdiction of the district or taluka centre you choose.
• Clean record: No court case should be pending against you, and you should have no political background. You also need to be mentally and physically fit for field work.
• Training before work: Candidates who clear the interview receive PLV training before being placed on the panel.
• Supervision and reporting: You work under the chairman of the DLSA or taluka committee and send a monthly activity report by the 2nd of the next month. The NALSA (Legal Aid Clinics) Scheme 2010 and Regulations 2011 govern the work at legal services centres.

Application Submission Notes

Applications are taken only in person. Fill the prescribed form attached to the notice and hand it over with attested documents at the DLSA office in the District and Sessions Court campus, Jalore, or at the Taluka Legal Services Committee office in Bhinmal, Raniwara, Sanchore or Ahore. Applications sent by email will not be considered, and incomplete forms are rejected.

State clearly in the form whether you want to work at district level or at a named taluka. The interview date and venue will be published in newspapers, on the office notice boards and on the Jalore district court website.

• Earlier notice No. 03 dated 30 May 2025: if you already applied under that notice, you do not need to apply again. People currently working as Para Legal Volunteers must submit a fresh application.

• Educate people in your village and neighbourhood about their constitutional and legal rights and duties
• Guide people with disputes to approach the legal services authorities for free legal help
• Help the DLSA and taluka committees organise legal awareness camps
• Encourage settlement of pending and pre-litigation cases through Lok Adalats and mediation without court fees
• Spread information on welfare and legal aid schemes through door-to-door visits after camps
• Report injustice, child labour, missing children and trafficking cases to the nearest legal services body
• Visit jails, lock-ups, psychiatric hospitals and observation homes when the DLSA authorises it
• Submit a monthly activity report to the DLSA or taluka committee chairman
