Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is hiring Project Engineer-I staff for its Electronic Warfare and Avionics Strategic Business Unit at the Bengaluru Complex. BEL is a Navratna public-sector company under the Ministry of Defence. This is a fixed-term project engagement covering electronics and computer science work within the same recruitment notice.

Post-wise Duties

Project Engineer-I — Electronics

You will work with radio-frequency systems, antennas and digital signal processing. The notice describes digital and embedded system design using field-programmable gate arrays and VHDL coding, along with device-driver development. The work also involves hardware-oriented development platforms and signal-processing tools.

Project Engineer-I — Computer Science

Your work will include Windows applications and embedded software, with board-support packages and device drivers for VxWorks among the listed areas. The role also covers artificial intelligence and machine learning implementation. Software verification tools form part of the environment described in the notice.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: You join for three years. BEL may extend the engagement by one further year, depending on project progress and your performance, bringing the maximum overall tenure to four years.
• Existing BEL staff: Lateral applications for the same post are not permitted. For example, a serving Project Engineer cannot use this drive to apply again for the Project Engineer post.
• Recruitment changes: BEL may increase or reduce the advertised requirement and may change, restrict or cancel the recruitment. The opening therefore remains subject to the company's actual project needs.
• Communication: Keep your registered email address active. BEL sends call letters by email and publishes shortlist and final-selection information on its website; it does not send individual explanations for non-selection.
• Attendance arrangements: BEL will communicate the assigned venue later. Once called, you cannot request a change to the allotted date, time or venue.
• Application accuracy: You cannot alter information after submission. Incorrect claims can lead to disqualification at a later stage, so check the details against your own records before finalising the form.
• Conduct: Canvassing leads to disqualification. BEL can exclude applicants when it finds that information used during screening was false.
