All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhopal (AIIMS Bhopal) is recruiting a Consultant Psychiatrist for Tele MANAS, where the institute serves as a mentoring institute. The engagement sits within the Department of Psychiatry and is part of a services project. You would join on a project contract, with continuation linked to performance and available funding.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The contract runs for one year from selection. It ends automatically after that period unless an extension is approved on the basis of performance and funds for staff.
• No permanent appointment claim: This engagement gives you no right to regular appointment, permanent absorption or continued contractual employment at AIIMS Bhopal.
• Performance review: The institute reviews your work every three months. Unauthorised absence for three or more working days can end the contract.
• Ending the contract: Either side may terminate the appointment by giving 30 days of notice or salary in place of notice.
• Private practice: Private practice of any kind is prohibited. This condition applies alongside the institute rules on employee conduct and discipline.
• Leave: Your leave follows the institute policy for ad-hoc, extramural and short-term research projects, including later amendments to that policy.
• Accommodation: Neither the institute nor the project nodal officer provides hostel or other accommodation. You should take this condition into account when planning a move to Bhopal.
• Travel: You must cover your own travel and related costs for attending the assessment or joining the post. The notice rules out reimbursement for these purposes.
• Accuracy of information: Incorrect information can lead to disqualification and legal action. If false declarations or important omissions come to light after appointment, removal from service and further action remain possible.
• Conduct: Canvassing leads to disqualification. The appointment also carries the institute rules of discipline, and any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of courts at Bhopal.
• Recruitment decisions: The competent authority may amend or cancel the advertisement, in whole or in part. Its decision on selection is final under the notice.
